BMC was established in San Diego, California in 2005. BMC is a small company made up of two principals, Diane Ballard and Lydia Morales, and a team of independent consultants. BMC is committed to solving problems through collaboration and communication with its clients. BMC works closely with other consultants hired by the Client to facilitate the oftentimes complex process of multi-party cases. In addition, our attention-to-detail and our investigative and analyses processes enable us to make objective conclusions and arrive at an expert opinion more efficiently. Frequently, our approach has lead to a quicker resolution of matters and lower overall case costs. BMC is known for their organization and preparedness. | Diane Ballard is an architect licensed in the State of California (C19087), the State of Nevada (8834) and the State of Arizona (C45249). Since 1988, Ms. Ballard has provided comprehensive architectural services, designing a wide variety of commercial, residential, and medical building projects. She has over 22 years of professional experience providing architectural design services, preparing construction documents and participating in construction contract administration services. In addition, she provides forensic architectural services for cases involving construction defects, personal injury, Code compliance, ADA/Accessibility compliance and construction contract dispute/delay claim matters for both plaintiff and defense clients. Ms. Ballard is a designated architectural expert witness and has provided deposition and trial testimony on numerous cases. She also currently serves as a consulting architect, providing architectural review services for many HOA/COA communities in Southern California. Ms. Ballard is an active member of many professional organizations and construction industry associations and donates her professional services to many community and civic organizations to promote excellence in architectural design and improve community standards. N. Lydia Morales is a Certified Building Inspector (B5) and a Certified Residential Building Inspector (B1) with the International Code Council (ICC) and a LEED Accredited Professional with the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Since 1995, Ms. Morales has been involved in a variety of construction-related projects throughout California, Nevada and Arizona. Forensic services have been provided for developers, general contractors, subcontractors, homeowner associations and individual homeowners. These services include field investigations, project management, mediation appearance, and deposition and trial preparation.
